WheelBazaar ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the WheelBazaar mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Full name, email address, and phone number (optional) when you register.
• Listing Information: Vehicle details, photos, videos, price, and location that you submit when creating a listing.
• Communications: Messages you send through our in-app chat feature.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Service, including pages viewed, listings clicked, search queries, and time spent.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
• Location: City and district you provide on your listings. We do not collect precise GPS location.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Display and manage your vehicle listings.
• Facilitate communication between buyers and sellers.
• Send transactional emails such as email verification and password reset OTPs.
• Monitor and analyse usage to improve the Service.
• Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
• Respond to your support requests and enquiries.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

• Other Users: Your name and any information you include in a listing (vehicle details, photos, city/district) is publicly visible to other users of the Service.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS): We use AWS to host the Service and store listing images and videos (Amazon S3). AWS processes data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
• Email Provider: We use Google Gmail SMTP to send transactional emails such as OTP verification codes.
• Law Enforcement: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on AWS servers in the ap-south-1 (Mumbai) region. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), JWT token authentication with short expiry, and access controls on all production systems.

While we take security seriously, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — including your listings, messages, and profile information — is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

Aggregated and anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data via the Edit Profile screen in the app.
• Delete your account and all associated data using the "Delete Account" option in the app under Profile settings.
• Object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
• Data Portability: Request a copy of your data by contacting us.

7. Cookies and Tracking

The WheelBazaar mobile application does not use cookies. Our website may use local storage to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove that information.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every website you visit.
